The positive trend in terms of the reduction in emissions of this parameter continued in 2016 with the quantity of VOC emitted falling by 11.6% compared with 2015 following the improvement measures carried out mainly at the Ceriano site.
The percentage of waste sent for recovery is very high compared with the industry average (e.g. in 2015 the percentage of waste sent for recovery by Italian companies that implement the Responsible Care programme was 44.4%). In 2016 this figure came to 79.1%.
The variations in the 3-year period are also the result of occasional disposals.
